Oh, I'm at a point where today's work has revealed itself to have been work invested into the wrong angle [of the problem] - however the only way to have revealed this is to have invested work into the wrong angle.
It would be nice to work out how to write that entirely as a palindrome - ah the magic that could come from procrastination.
